Vacancy description:My client is a globally recognized market leader within the Valve Industry, they have an outstanding reputation within the industries that they serve for design, manufacturing and distributing high spec, bespoke products. Currently involved with Petrochem, Oil & Gas, they are looking to expand into Power (Hydro, Thermal, Coal) and are seeking a Sales Manager to facilitate this venture.
This is a new role and the successful individual will have an extensive experience in the Power industries, be technically minded as well as have a proven commercial track record. You will have experience in dealing with customers face to face, have in depth Valve knowledge and be a skilled negotiator. Reporting directly to the Manager of Power Business Development, the position requires the individual to be self-driven, results orientated, and be able to focus on both short term and long term strategic goals and formulate strategies to compliment those goals. Exposure to tender preparation, commercial and technical calculations and product support is paramount.
The organization is looking to expand aggressively into the Power industries and expect this role to grow with the business; there will be an aspect of managing external accounts as well as managing your own business and time. You will be a motivator, be an excellent communicator and be able to multi-task effectively (track, manage, communicate, forecast) and solve problems as they arise. You will also be expected to travel and as the job requires. English and German languages are pre-requisite; as is eligibility to work in the EU.
